Grace, Grace, God’s Grace…

I’m so glad that I’m a stay-at-home Mom. I’ve always wanted to be one, and thank God (and Dana) I’m able to do that 🙂 I did go back to work for a month or so, but just felt in my heart I was supposed to be at home and I’m loving every minute of it…and I’m really loving spending more and more time with Gracie, my Mom and being able to work on projects and take pictures…Oh yeah, and try to get back in shape…LOL…I keep forgetting that’s a goal of mine… hahaha probably not a good sign…anyways, Gracie is growing like a weed, and exploring and laughing and eating big girl food like crazy. I can’t believe she’s going to be 6 months this Saturday. I’m looking forward to doing a 6 month session with her sometime soon. Hopefully the rain will hold off in the evenings in the next few days! Here’s a day in the life of Grace Rose…a sign of God’s unspeakable Grace to me. Love you Boo Boo.

Here’s Gracer in the morning. Yes, she’s in our bed. No, she doesn’t sleep there all night…but she is in our bed a lot. I know, I know…she really does love to cuddle with her Mommy and usually falls right asleep when we lay down and she rolls in toward me…such a cutie pie.

Her HAIR is out of control. OMG. She can thank her Daddy for that…

Thumbs UP

Her eyebrows are slowly getting darker

She’s been playing with her hands…a lot. She watches them move and touches her fingers…

Love this bow on her…H&M has the best clips for Cheap!

I’m still figuring out my new camera. I’ve made the switch from my Nikon to a Full-Frame Canon. I’m loving it so far and find it easier to use than my Nikon, but I really do still love my Nikon/well now, my Mom’s Nikon…I sold it to her… 🙂

She likes to pretend she’s talking…smarty pants…

Playing with the focus…

She’s so much fun…as you can see. She loves her tutu’s. Funny thing…I think Dana’s more excited for her to wear a tutu than anyone else. He thinks its really cute when little girls wear tutu’s and rain boots…so stay tuned for that! LOL…so funny.

People ask me if I enhance her eyes…no and yes. Her eyes are that color blue. All I have done to the photo is increase the exposure/or the brightness of the picture, which in turn brightens her eyes. That’s why in some pictures her eyes look brighter, etc. I have been practicing on doing this in photoshop, but I can’t really do it to hers because it looks fakey/weird when I do it to hers. So, yes, the photo is brightened, but no, the color is not. 🙂 Them is her reeeeall eyes. Actually, I think the left one is brighter or slightly different colored than the right (when you’re looking at her.) I’ve noticed this in numerous shots.
OK> So a break from playing dress-up on the floor, we went to run errands with my Momma…which always includes 1. A trip to Chick Fil-A or 2. Target. Today was Chick-Fil-A.
Fact: DID you know that the Chick-Fil-A here in Woodbridge is THE #1 CHICK FIL-A IN THE NATION!!!. Yes, it is true. Well, I just googled it and can’t find any web-documentation…but, I asked the manager that was walking the floor what the construction was about…and he said that they are expanding and will be closing the restaurant for a few days and redoing the joint. well, he didn’t say joint but you get it…anyways, he said that they are the #1Chick Fil-A in the nation and they are trying to keep it that way. Hey, I believe it. That place is always packed and ALWAYS amazing. Love it.
Anyhoo, we stopped at Baby’s R Us for the usual. Mom wanted to get an easy/lightweight stroller for her use and so Gracie got to test out a few. Here’s a video I shot of the  experience. I must warn you though…turn down your volume…and brace yourself for my voice. Ugh, it sounds awful. Don’t judge. I will be working on my “talking to Gracie voice/excited Mom voice”, I promise. Her hair never ceases to crack me up. Terrible. Dana just said her hair is like Robin Thicke’s. LOL… ogeeez

So, after that, we came home and played…here’s some pics from the rest of our day…love you Gracie!
