Yesterday Dana took off work and we headed to Bluemont, Virginia to visit Great Country Farms. We are members there and get their organic produce delivered every Tuesday so we have been meaning to take a trip and check the place out! We picked a great day to go and had such a fun time! Gracie is going to be 8 months old tomorrow so I wanted to do some pictures for her 8 month session and I’m loving my little peachy pictures 🙂

On our way we stopped through Philomont, VA and came across a 99 year old General Store.

Then, onward to Great Country Farms! It was really nice and overcast, not too hot…but then it started to sprinkle…not bad, kinda felt good!

After checking in we explored a little and took a few pictures of Graceroonie in front of the old blue truck Dana spotted!

Then we jumped on the hayride to take us out to the Blackberry patch! Daddy took the camera- he’s been playing around a bit with it! She seemed to like watching the tractor pull us…

After a short and bumpy ride we made it to the blackberry patch! I was so happy to be able to pick blackberries with Dana and Gracie, a tradition my family and I did when we were little. We picked for a little while and got some “trophy berries” as Dana called them.

Back on the hayride on our way to pick some peaches! After the sprinkles, the sun came out and it got extremely extremely hot. We baked for like 10 minutes, and thank God, the sun went away again and a nice breeze came. Dana’s face sums up how we felt at the moment.

Then back to the farm to explore around…

Then we topped off the day with stopping for cookies, cupcakes and antique shopping in old town Leesburg.

We found an old antique tea set for Gracie and a unique little cast iron ducky. And I got a postcard size oil painting I’m in love with that would look great on my picture wall!

It was a long wonderful Tuesday…Can’t believe my Gracie Rose will be 8 months tomorrow! Crazy how time flies…We love you baby girl…can’t wait to take many more mini-vacations with you!!!
